QuickBooks access

Getting me into your QuickBooks.

Three clicks and my email address — about a minute.

You’ll need a computer or tablet for this. The QuickBooks phone app can’t invite an accountant — if you’re on your phone right now, this one can wait until you’re at a laptop.

Open QuickBooks

Open the gear menu

Click the gear icon at the top right, then Manage users.

Pick Accounting firms

Open the Accounting firms tab — some accounts label it Accountants —, then click Invite.

Add my details

Choose Enter my accountant’s email, fill in the three fields above, then Save.

That’s it. You’ll get an email once I accept.

Menus move around between QuickBooks versions. If yours looks different, type Manage users into the search box at the top and it will take you straight there. The invite is good for 30 days.
